I hate having to iron clothes when I get to my destination when traveling, but I also hate having to lug around a separate garment bag. So this convertible garment bag is probably my favorite new find.It is well made, and it holds a lot more than I expected it to. I gave it a trial run, and was able to pack enough for a week long vacation with no problem, even throwing in some heavier clothing like long sleeve shirts,a sweater, jeans, and pants. After packing what is shown in the pictures, I still had plenty of room to add my undergarments, a couple of sleep shirts, a couple of tank tops, my tablet, and the case that I carry my camera, Roku, and various chargers in, and it zipped up nicely to an acceptable carry-on size. With the compression packing cubes I normally use, I could probably get even more in it for a road trip, but the weigh was close to maxed with all that for a flight carry-on.I put the clothes in the garment bag (three shirts, a pullover sweater, and a dress) on four of the thin velvet hangers, but they caused the duffle to bulge on the end with the hangers, as you can see in the pictures, and it was very difficult to zip all the way closed. So I wouldn't try to use more than one or two hangers in it at the time, but you can always tuck some folding travel hangers in the duffel portion if you're going someplace that doesn't provide them. After removing the hangers and just laying the clothes out neatly in the garment bag, it zipped all the way closed just fine with no bulging on that side. I actually could have put in a few more shirts or dresses (or a blazer or cardigan if going somewhere that I needed one) after removing the hangers.I normally just use a carry-on spinner and a large tote for items I need to access without opening my suitcase. I'll probably continue to use the carry-on if going somewhere I want to be able to wheel my luggage around. But for shorter trips where I don't have to pack very much or ones that I don't have to walk too far with my luggage, definitely this bag instead of the carry-on. It's much lighter weight, holds just as much, and takes up less room. I also like the strap on the back of the duffel that allows it to slip over a suitcase handle for easier carrying if I need both the duffle and a suitcase. The included toiletry bag is plenty roomy for basic toiletries and make up items (it's actually bigger than the one I'm using now so I may switch), and I like the built-in shoe bag because I can use that for worn clothing to keep it separate from my clean items on the way home.I highly recommend this one if you do a lot of traveling, especially if you are one of those weirdos like me, who will iron tee-shirts on vacation because they get wrinkled in a suitcase but don't like carrying a garment bag. It will hold everything you need for anywhere from a weekend to a week or more with no wrinkles. Five stars and and a double thumbs up on this one.
